Does the watch count practice swings?

Shot Scope devices when used in GPS + Track and Track Mode, collects all swings made by a golfer. These swings then get processed and analyzed by our algorithms to determine what was a shot and what wasn't. How we do this is a secret but the system is very effective at determining and filtering out practice swings.

While our system is adept at excluding practice swings from round data, we do encourage all users to take at least one practice swing (ideally two) prior to each shot. This not only helps our system detect shots but is also a good routine to get into when playing.
