The following article will explain how to update the firmware on your watch through the mobile apps and desktop app.
Firmware is the programming which is written into your device. Updates are often issued to introduce new features and fix any issues which could be hampering your Shot Scope experience.
When there is a firmware update available, you will receive an email from Shot Scope which lets you know that you need to update. To perform the update please follow the below:
Mobile - iOS
1) Make sure that your device has at least 25% battery charge.
2) If you have your Shot Scope app open then please manually log out (closing the app doesn't log you out).
3) Log back into the Shot Scope app.
4) Connect the device to the Shot Scope app.
5) If there is a firmware update you will be prompted to sync as the 'Connect Band' button will change to an 'Update Firmware' button.
6) Tap the 'Update Firmware' button. The firmware update will start. Please make sure you keep your mobile phone or tablet and device in close proximity with each other during the update. This could take 15-20 minutes.
Its also important to make sure the WIFI connection is strong, the device and the mobile/tablet are near to each other and that the device isn't interrupted during the process (best to keep it on the Shot Scope app until sync is complete).

Desktop app
If you are a V2 user we do recommend updating your firmware using the desktop app. This is the most efficient process and will sync the update faster than using the mobile app. To update your firmware please follow these instructions:
1) Make sure that your watch has at least 25% battery charge.
2) If you have your desktop app open then please manually log out (closing the app doesn't log you out).
3) Connect your watch to your desktop app and log into your account.
4) You will see a pop up on the screen like the the one below. Please click on the 'Update' button to start the firmware update.
5) The updating process should take 5-10 minutes. The screen will then confirm this is finished. Please unplug your watch and re-plug it and the update will be complete.
If you do not have access to the desktop app then you can update over the mobile app. Please ensure that you do so over WiFi and allow additional time for the update to be processed. This process takes on average 10-15 minutes. You also must have the latest app version for this to be successful.
