Why Are My Putts Being Missed or Showing as 2 Feet Every Hole?
If your putts are going undetected by your Shot Scope watch, they may appear as 2-foot putts in the system. Below are some common reasons why this might happen and how to resolve the issue.
Common Reasons for Missed Putts:
-
Incorrect Grip Position
- If you putt with your left hand below your right (for right-handed players) or vice versa, the watch and tag may be too far apart, causing the putt to go undetected.
-
Using a Long Putter
- If you use a long putter and grip it further down the shaft, the distance between the tag and the putter may be too great for the watch to register the putt.
-
No Practice Strokes
- The watch enters “sleep mode” between shots to conserve battery. If you don’t take any practice strokes, the watch may not “wake up” in time to detect your putt.
Solutions if Your Putts are Continually Missed:
-
Use Manual Putting Mode
- Enable Manual Putting Mode on the watch to manually register your putts.
-
Take Practice Strokes with Conventional Grip
- Try taking some practice putts with a conventional grip (holding the club at the top of the grip). Do this when others are putting, then proceed with your normal putt.
-
Edit Putts After Your Round
- After your round, you can use the editing system in the Shot Scope app to correct the distance of your putts.
By following these tips, you can improve the accuracy of putt detection with your Shot Scope watch. If you continue to experience issues, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.
